Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary: 

The Warehouse Supervisor is a crucial member of the warehouse team, responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient and accurate fulfillment of orders, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management principles. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and manage a team of warehouse associates, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. 
• Motivate and lead the team to achieve daily goals and productivity targets. 
• Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts effectively. 
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment. 

Wareouse Operations: 

• Oversee receiving, storing, and shipping of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. 
• Manage inventory levels and track stock movements, minimizing stock loss and waste. 
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and stock audits. 
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. 
• Implement and monitor safety procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. 

Order Fulfillment: 

• Oversee picking, packing, and shipping of orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. 
• Manage packaging materials and ensure proper labeling of shipments. 
• Monitor shipping carriers and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers. 

Communication and Collaboration: 

• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, managers, and other departments. 
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations. 
• Provide regular updates and reports on warehouse performance and operations. 
•  Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: 
• Identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks. 
• Analyze data and implement improvements to optimize warehouse processes. 

Stay informed about industry best practices and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency

Qualifications: 

• Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, Accounting or a related field preferred. 
• 2-6 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role. 
• Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and practices. 
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. 
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
