PIN currently is seeking energetic, disciplined, responsible Finance Assistant.
Length of Contract: one-year possible extension
Place of Work: - Based in Addis Ababa with frequent travel to PINās project sites in different regions as required.
Salary: 19.130
Finance Assistant Responsibilities:
1.Management of Cash Box
- Scanning and archiving of cash register documents and invoices in Elo.
- Processing bank transfers to field office and suppliers upon the approval
- In the absence of the FO recording transaction within cash box into database prior the payment is issued
- Prepare published cash payment voucher
- Effecting payment to trainees to any of our intervention areas/field offices
- Replacing field cashiers, and A.A finance officer during their annual leave.
- Supporting Hawassa finance team whenever it is needed.
- Preparing the cheque withdrawal tracking table and make sure that it is up to date
2. Administrative and financial support of PIN projects
- Support for project audits and annual audit ā preparation and completing of all required documents
- Preparation and filling of supporting documents.
- Making sure that the archaization room is on good shape
- Conformity with PIN/donors regulation.
- Supervision of adherence to the Ethiopian laws and regulations
- Collecting bank statements and bank advices from bank on monthly bases
- Payment of relevant taxes, Income tax, withholding tax and pension to Inland Revenue Authority office
- Preparing of E -purchase and service report on monthly base.
- Archiving of contracts on ELO
3. Any other related tasks as required
Other assignments corresponding to actual needs of the project, program or mission up on the request of line manager/Finance unit coordinator.
Accountability and Safeguarding including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH)
- Carry out the duties in accordance with the PIN Code of Conduct and Key policies.
- Participate in training and awareness raising (CoC and KP, Safeguardingā¦).
- Implement Safeguarding measures throughout the project cycle including a risk analysis related to SEAH and Child protection for each project and develop a mitigation plan accordingly.
- Ensure that his/her team members attend training and awareness sessions and carry out the duties in accordance with PIN Code of Conduct and Key policies.?
- Ensure that due diligence and/or capacity assessments of partners include an assessment of partnersā implementation of key safeguarding and risk policies/ procedure including the prevention of SEAH.
- Create and maintain a fulfilling and protective environment.?
ĀGeneral obligations and responsibilities
The Employee is obligated not to purvey any information concerning any of PIN activities to outsiders (including former PIN employees, who may no more be informed about current process in PIN).

- Bachelor Degree in Accounting and financial management
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the sector with handling of cash
- NGO experience highly advantageous
- Has very good understanding of PIN Code of Conduct.
- Good command of MS Package (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- Has very good knowledge on cash book
- 3 strong references (only from previous supervisors, will be crosschecked)
