The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for setting up the companys finance and accounting policies and procedures and for the management of the companys finance and accounting activities.

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• In collaboration with the other Management staffs regularly update policies and procedures for the companies finance, & accounting functions; ensure that employees across strictly follow policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with management to plan, organize and deliver & accurate results and to ensure availability of financial resources for the organizations operations

• Ensure that timely and accurate financial information is provided for decision making; Advice management and SBUs on financial & accounting matters

• Participate in the preparation of corporate plans;

• Ensure that companies financial recording and reporting are up to standard and ensures timely payment of government obligations (VAT, withholding, income tax, pension contribution etc) .

• Ensure that well organized documentation of financial transactions are maintained; resolve accounting discrepancies

• Ensures that payments are all effected as per to the companys financial policies & guidelines and payment authorization limits.

• Compile quarterly and yearly financial reports and statements and , make financial analysis and submit synthesized reports for management

• Supervise the work of immediate subordinates; evaluates and manages subordinates performance
