BACKGROUND

Kurmuk Gold Mine Plc (KGM) is a subsidiary of Allied Gold Corp which is a global company. The parent company has different mine projects in Mali, cote dIvoire as well as Ethiopia. KGM is the owner of Ethiopian project with a Large-Scale Gold Mining License and three contiguous Exploration Licenses. All licenses are located in western Ethiopia approximately 750 km from Addis Ababa, or about 90 km north-west of Assosa town in Benishangul Gumuze Regional State.

KGM is using local and expat professionals, and foreign/local consultants to carry out all the exploration and mining activities. The company currently is looking for professionals in many disciplines to execute its operations diligently and to the international standard.

Location/duty station: Benshangul Gumuz, Asosa Zone, Kurmuk Woreda, Project Site - Fly In/Fly out roster (6/2weeks)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for electrical work and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Proven experience as an Electrician, with at least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of national and local electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid electrician license or certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
