Objective

The individual Consultant will be responsible for the overall coordination of an institutional establishment of the WASH Business Associations for the two regions. The consultant will start building the association capacity from the ground up with the support of business development team in the regions and the national team

Essential functions

Develop Capacity Development plan: Assess and outline clear capacity development plan for the association indicating the current ecosystme and future of the association.

Membership Engagement:Serve as the primary point of contact for association board executive. Organize members data base, prepare membership registration formats. Notify members of the devlopment of the association.

Communications:Handle communications with members, partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Develop communication startegy and list of potential stakholders.

Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to association leaders and committees. They help with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes, which are essential for the smooth functioning of the association.

Project Coordination:Manage special projects or initiatives and play a key role in coordinating and managing these projects from start to finish.

Advocacy and Representation:Association coordinator participate in advocacy efforts, representing the associations interests to policymakers, regulatory bodies, and other organizations. They serve as a voice for the members and the associations mission.

Fundraising :Develop fundraising and income generating startegy so that the association can run by its own. This includes solictating fundings from multilateral organizations, NGOs, goverement and other support groups.

Income Generating Activity: Organing bazars, trade shows, design marketing activities that can bring resources for the association.

Understanding the local context: Assess local contexts and tailor support activities for the specific regions.

Time frame

This consultancy service is expected to be completed in 3 Months time from the contract is entered

Reporting relationship

The individual consultant will report to the Regional Business Development Manager and will have a technical working relationship with the Supply Chain Development Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BA in Business Administration, Economics, Cooperative Management,management/public health and related disciplines

Previous consultancy work on Trade Associations, Sectoral Association and other non profit associations is a must. The consultant should have 10 years experience for BA and 7 years for MA.
