Job Description
Cooperazione Internazionale (COOPI) is an international Italian NGO established in 1965. Since its establishment, COOPI has been undertaking activities to help and empower the poor and needy in different countries. COOPI Ethiopia started its operation in 1995 and has been primarily implementing emergency, relief and early recovery programs in water hygiene and sanitation, food security and livelihood, nutrition and protection sectors.
COOPI is currently implementing 10 projects in Ethiopia focusing on WASH, ESNFI, CCCM, Energy, Food security and Livelihood managing 7 field bases and a staff of over 100 employees.
COOPI is looking for qualified and competent WASH Field Work Supervisor .
Position: WASH Field Work supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Activities/Responsibilities
Planning
Implementation
Reporting
External Coordination
Project development
Perform any other duties assigned by the WASH supervisors.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor in engineering, with a specialization in water works.
A minimum of five years of relevant working experience supervising directly construction teams for water works at field sites, with private companies or NGOs. Please,list the water works you supervised and completed in your CV, with clear specifications on your role, works completed and locations.
Fluency in English.
Computer literacy, with excellent knowledge of the Office package.
Proven capacity to work in a team is essential. Experience in managing staff (masons, plumbers) is a must.
Preferred:
Experience in liaising with governmental/local authorities and NGOs.
Excellent knowledge in construction of WASH works (towers, tanks, control boxes, water points) and draft of BoQs.
Knowledge of the QGIS software and SPHERE Standards.
Demonstrated ability to work in stressful environments and under pressure.
Knowledge of local languate and area of operation is a plus.

Duration of the contract: Six months with possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and fund availability.
Salary and Benefit: Gross salary 18,242.75 ETB
Hardship Allowance 30%
Field Allowance 6,000 ETB
Mobile Card 350 ETB per month
Medical Insurance 10,000 ETB for Staff and 3,000 ETB for dependent(Spouse and Children)
Leave days per year 16 working days.
