Accountant - Inventory Management

Reporting to the Cost and Budget Manager at EZM Company, the role involves several key responsibilities to ensure efficient inventory management and accurate financial reporting. This includes conducting analysis to compare estimated cost components with actual costs, maintaining detailed stock records with appropriate item codes and ledger accounts, reviewing cost reports, and conducting variance analysis for gross margins. Additionally, tasks involve tracking inventory receipts and deliveries, reconciling monthly inventory with the supply chain, and promptly notifying any variances to the cost and budget head. Collaboration with internal teams is crucial to deliver accurate cost data for both internal and external stakeholders. The accountant also monitors inventory levels against reorder points, prepares working papers for audits, and participates in system conversions. Regular physical counts and variance analyses are conducted to ensure inventory accuracy, along with reconciling inventory stock ledgers with the general ledger. Flexibility to undertake additional cost and budget projects as needed is also a part of the role.
