Specific Job Skills - Accountant - Cost & Budget
Reporting to the Cost and Budget Manager, my role is to meticulously review various facets of the company's financial operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This includes evaluating supply chain and materials pricing, labor costs, and shipping discounts, as well as analyzing quarterly sales records across departments. I am responsible for assessing inventory tracking systems, reconciling data, and compiling budget templates from each department. Additionally, I meticulously document shipments using Bills of Lading and verify cost components. Utilizing computer accounting and enterprise resource management software, I track budgeting, costs, and financial data, ensuring precise codification and posting of each cost document while reconciling with the GIT ledger. I prepare monthly accounting reports summarizing departmental statuses for upper management, alongside budget vs actual cost analyses and estimated vs actual cost variance analyses. Furthermore, I play a pivotal role in the planning process for the next fiscal year, crafting budget proposals and financial goals for the company's forthcoming 12 months. Maintaining meticulous company bookkeeping ledgers and preparing working papers for audits are also integral aspects of my responsibilities.
