Kelem Ethiopia (KELEM) is a national non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan, civil society organization (CSO) committed to humanity. Kelem has been actively participating in on the on-going developmental activities of the country mainly through the creation of access to quality education, water, Sanitation and hygiene (WaSH) facilities, health, emergency response and capacity building of citizens and institutions at different level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The officers are expected to provide technical advice to WASH coordinator on all water, sanitation and hygiene issues; implement water, sanitation and hygiene activities of the project as per the approved project document and schedule, closely work with project stakeholders, as needed and appropriate, meet project goals, objectives, outputs and requirements, actively and positively engage in team work, facilitates WASH activities and community mobilization, prepare and submit project reports to the best of its quality and within the given time frame, Perform regular on-site supervision of WASH activities (both new activities and maintenance), meet deadline to accomplish assigned works on due date and additional activities which is given by filed office project coordinator.

Essential minimum qualifications and capacities
- Communicate clearly, and is able to facilitate workshop, trainings and events;
- Has a good communication skill, both written and oral;
- Build team spirit and resolve conflict, adapt to the teams to fit in well;
- Set high standards for quality of work and coordinates group activities;
- Manage time efficiently, monitors performance against deadlines and milestones
- Computer skills for project activities reporting;
- Good ethical and moral values
- Understanding and respecting gender equalities, child protections and human right.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Good understanding of the socio cultural context of the target people
- Afarah language skill is a plus
Position Requirements: Education & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in water supply and environmental engineering, environmental health/ environmental Science, social work, sociology or related field;
- 4 years for BSc, and 2 years for MSC/MA work experience in, WASH related fields and experience on emergency response is more advantageous.
