Main Duties and tasks
Perform collection and preparation of monthly financial reports and their completeness
Maintain journal and general ledger entries or account records, execute sales related or other financial transactions.
Prepare financial statements on time and handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely payments.
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Execute the accounting policies and procedures to ensure proper recording and controlling of the accounts.
Verify, upload and keep all financial or transactional data and records on our IT system
Compile and verify all apartment buyers payment receipts Record are recorded on the given spreadsheet format on the same date shown in the receipt
Verify coding of payment vouchers and receipts, Prepare Journal Vouchers
Perform commission payments, posting in Peachtree accounting software and issue monthly reports
Prepare all monthly required tax declaration and feed in online declaration format of ERCA before the Ethiopian calendar date of 15
Prepare Monthly Payroll and settle on or between 28 and 30 of Ethiopian calendar
Responsible to reconcile bank statements with accounting records
Count Fixed Asset once in a year and record newly purchased assets in the registration book
Receive bank transaction document (bank advice, deposit slip, bank statement), daily cash sheet and check the completeness
Perform any other assignments provided by immediate supervisor and other managers
BA Degree in Accounting/ Accounting and Finance or related field of study with at least 2 year experience in finance operation or activities
