Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Ensure optimal utilization of equipment and resources to achieve production targets.
• Implement and monitor world-class manufacturing KPIs, such as OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), yield, and cycle time.
• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely output.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement in processes and productivity.

Maintenance Management:

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures to enhance the reliability and lifespan of equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they impact production.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers for equipment maintenance.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, ensuring accurate reporting of daily activities.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities:

• Enforce and promote safety rules and regulations to mitigate accidents and hazards.
• Collaborate with management to establish emergency response procedures and ensure the installation of security and safety gadgets.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Champion environmentally responsible practices within the production and maintenance processes.

Quality Assurance Oversight:

• Implement food safety standards, such as FSSC22000/ISO22000, ensuring strict adherence to procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of production processes to uphold quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any product quality issues.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, motivate, and train a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Mediate and resolve disputes, ensuring smooth communication between workers and management.

Budgetary Control and Reporting:

• Collaborate with management in planning, budgeting, and controlling production and technical activities.

Qualification Requirements

• BSC in Food Science & Post Harvest Technology; Food Science & Technology, Food Science & Nutrition, Food Engineering
• 2+years experience in Production Technology,Process and Operator role. FSSC22000/ISO22000 and maintenance management experiences have an advantage.
• Able to operate, troubleshoot and perform small repairs on machines.
• Exhibit great strength and stamina to withstand long hours of working and lifting heavy equipment.
• Showcase good leadership and motivation skills to lead different people with different abilities and character traits.
• Must be a swift learner and an excellent coach to train their teammates.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively handle the challenges and problems in the production department.
• A production team leader must also know how to delegate tasks to other members of his/her team.
• He/she would also be expected to understand the importance of time management and be proactive at all times.
