Job Description

Short Description of the Company

Shayashone is engaged in agribusiness advisory service and social marketing. The company has recently added hermetic bags and household water treatment solutions to its portfolio and would like to reach step-up its market penetration to rural areas by deploying youth reseller model and expanding its vendor ship network. Both of these products are recognized by bureau of agriculture and natural resources and bureau of health as vital solutions for rural households in relation to crop storage and safe drinking water.

Shayashone PLC is looking for a skilled Human Resource Officer who will recruit, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and youll contribute to making the company a better place to work.

We want to see a committed and approachable individual and be impressed with your character and skills. The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Write and develop job descriptions and job adverts for open vacancies.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process: receive applications, assist in keeping applicant information electronically for possible reference and review, assist in scheduling of interviews and assessments of candidates and related logistic matters
  • Handle Administrative responsibilities such as writing support letters, reports or office memoranda, attends to phone calls
  • Maintaing and keep proper stalk of staff PPE and other erelevant equipment
  • Keeps all the documents and files of the organization in hard and electronic form and also work as a custodian of all staff personal files.
  • Assist on organising events, workshops, trainings and/or seminars
  • Supervise office cleaners and make sure that the working environment is kept clean and in order, the small kitchen and machines are kept neat all the time.
  • Responsible for keeping record of all types of leave and ensure they are taken on time with proper authorization from the appropriate Managers; liaise with supervisors for corrective actions on leave of absence documentation
  • Assist in preparation of meetings, writing reports, managing calendars for general manage and the preparing management team meeting minutes.
  • Assist with provision of staff identification cards, business cards, mobile telephone scratch cards (monthly), and other facilities
  • Assist in the inclusion of new staff to the insurance policies immediately upon employment, process staff claims for reimbursement of expenses as per the insurance policy
  • Execute any other relevant tasks based on requirement
  • Handles administrative issues related to HR (annual leave, personnel data, labor relations).

Job Requirements

Education, Work experience and Language

  • BA Degree in Human Resource management, or relevant subject.
  • 1 year & above working experience in HRD roles

Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office preferably is tech savvy;
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent command of reading, writing and speaking English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Likes agility and takes initiative
