JOB PURPOSE:
Formulate and execute national sales, distribution, organization and product promotion strategies, plans and activities to achieve business development objectives on sales (primary and secondary), market coverage & presence, infrastructure, competitive advantage, market reputation, policies, systems, processes, receivables, logistics, organization skill development and productivity in a sustainable and consistent manner.
DETAILED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market entitlement, scope, operation & competition information collection and analysis to identify business growth and development opportunities
- Formulate and execute strategies on sales and distribution organisation, infrastructure, logistics, promotions and budget to achieve business growth and development objectives
- Initiate, establish and supervise sustainable and efficient sales (including receivables), distribution policies, systems, processes, productivity parameters, metrics for sustainable and continuously improving performance,
- Train, monitor, supervise and develop S&D organisation, promotional agencies and channel members into effective, efficient, energetic, cohesive and stable teams
- Manage sales, distribution and promotional budgets and expenses
- Plan, execute and supervise new product launches and business promotional activities
- Develop and enhance organisational culture, values, market relationship and reputation
- 60% + time spent travelling in the trade with coaching and developing RSM, ASM, Sales Representative and Distributor key staff. Every distributor to be visited at least once a quarter.
- On a monthly basis consolidate the budgets for following month/s and send to Head Office for planning purposes. Work with RSM, ASM & Sales Rep to deliver on targets of volume, availability and visibility.
Modern Trade
- Agree along with General Manager on an annual basis the trade terms with Modern Trade customers. Carry out a study of trade terms being offered by competitors and other FMCG Companies. All MT contracts to be signed before the start of the calendar year.
- Track availability and visibility of all key customers and deliver on KPIs agreed with Marketing.
