National Consultant

Consultant/Evaluator Qualifications

The consultant for this assignment should have the following qualifications:

• Minimum a master's degree or equivalent in Political Science. Peace and Security Studies. Development studies, Project management, and related fields.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated practical working experience in undertaking similar aspects.
• Have a strong understanding of the context of humanitarian/emergency intervention in Ethiopia in general and the Afar and Tigray regions in particular.
• Advanced understanding of EORE and Mine Action services.
• Have a robust knowledge of evaluation ethics and commitment to ethical working practices.
• Extensive analytical skills, experience, and qualifications in applying qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Have proven experience in data analysis, report writing, and editing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Amharic, and other locally spoken language is preferable to conduct this evaluation.
• A Minimum 75% of the evaluation team composition is expected to be part of data collection and analysis.
• A consultant willing to conduct an evaluation self-logistics arrangement.
