Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry Plc is a privately owned company located in Addis Ababa in the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone area. Kadisco is a company that traces its origins back from a small automotive parts dealership that was operating in one of the busy streets of Addis Ababa back in late 60s. During the period until 1975 it had the opportunity to act as the sole distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979 it was registered as the sole company to manufacture adhesives and glue. By stages, the company developed into a diversified paint manufacturer.

In February 2015, Asian Paints Ltd and Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry SC formed a joint venture for business in Ethiopia and came to be known as Kadisco Asian paints. Asian Paints is Indias leading paint company and Asias second largest, with a group turnover of USD 2.7 billion. The group has an enviable reputation in the corporate world for professionalism, fast track growth, and building shareholder equity. Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 65 countries.

Today the company produces a full range of paints for the construction, industrial and automotive sectors. It also produces wood and concrete lacquers as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industry.

Position Summary

The Finance Coordinator is responsible to ensure for the specific deliverables of the finance team, relating to financial transaction processing, recording, data management, treasury/disbursement management, AR/AP management, auditing, reporting, as well as organization-wide budgeting process. The Senior Finance Officer is expected to work closely with and has direct oversight of the activities of the Accountants to ensure the fulfillment of responsibilities.

The Finance Coordinator also acts as a liaison between the Finance Manager and Accountants and the rest of the finance team to ensure the smooth functioning of the team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of Monthly Transaction Report

o Preparation of flash report

o Follow up on RM & PM invoice posting.

o Follow up on Expenditure posting

o Computing royalty provisions

o Reviewing and reconciling forex revaluation accounts [Debit notes and intercompany accounts]

o Reviewing and GIT reports against shipment tracker report.

o Review prepayment amortization to be charge to P/L

o Review all provisions to be charged to P/L

o Extract lease entries fromLeazeonsoftware and prepare IFRS 16 entries

o Upload interest income from all saving accounts

o Adjust bank posting errors

o Ensuring that previous month OTP are properly captured within the next reporting periods

o Monitoring MTR checklist and other enquires as requested to fill any gaps to meet reporting deadline.

• Asist in preparation of Year end pack
• Asist in preparation of Quarter rend pack
• Liaison with Internal, External and Tax auditors
• Liaison with National Bank in relation to incoming and outgoing loans and other matters.
• Reconcile Tax Ledgers with monthly tax prepared
• Uploading VAT and PAYE detail to the MOR E-Tax Module
• Uploading Sales VAT details to the MOR Tax Administration Support System [TASS]
• Declaration of annual profit tax and answering any enquiries raised by the tax office prior to making settlement.
• Preparation of bank reconciliation and directing person in charge to update unreconciled items in the bank statement.
• Ensuring that previous year earnings are capitalized or settled as dividend paid as per MOM of the shareholder
• Oversee the accounts hygiene in relation to open items in vendors account
• Reconcile monthly sales SAP vs POS vs Z report and notify the respective sales, IT department for adjustments to be made.

Functional Relationships:Operation Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and HR and Admin Managers

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Master's / Bachelors degree in Accounting or Accounting and Finance from a recognized University.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior Knowledge of Integrated Accounting systems like SAP/ERP/Oracle -IFMIS is an asset.
• Manufacturing and FMCG exposure are required.

• Proficient in MS word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
• Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame
• Good inter-personal & communication skills
