Accountant

On behalf of one of our clients, Addis Eyita Consultancy is recruiting for the position of Accountant. The client is a leading, national company in the socks manufacturing industry.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

Detail Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
• Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting to support decision-making and strategic planning processes.
• Conduct regular audits and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external auditors, and tax authorities to address financial inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate audits.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators, trends, and key metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.
• Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and support to management for budgeting, financial planning, and business decision-making.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices in financial reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred.
• At least 2 years proven experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar role, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software, financial management systems, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the industry.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and managing financial reporting processes.
