Job Description
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify procurement needs for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors, and vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable payment terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or contract terms.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to foster long-term partnerships and ensure reliable supply.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including vendor contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments that may impact procurement decisions.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies to optimize costs and streamline processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchaser or Procurement Officer, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local procurement regulations and practices in Ethiopia is a plus.
