Job Description

Addis Eyitais a private company that provides business and investment consulting services, business training and intellectual advice in various fields of work, and import and export firms, and was established in January 2007 based on the Ethiopian Commercial Law.


The firm wishes to employ a qualified HR Officer.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Officer to support our human resources functions effectively.

Detail Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge within the consultancy firm.
  • Maintain HR records, including personnel files, time and attendance records, and employee databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Support employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, and address employee inquiries related to benefits and HR policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with the consultancy firm's goals and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for HR-related services and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team and assist in various HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience as an HR Officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR practices and processes.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations relevant to the consultancy industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for maintaining accurate HR records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in HRIS software and MS Office applications.
