Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various financial tasks, including payments recording, monthly employee salary preparation, monthly tax reporting, inventory management, and fixed asset register updating at Kubik.
Duties and Responsibilities
Payments:
Record all payments to the system.
Accruals for recurring expenses.
Check each payment is supported by appropriate documentation before payment is prepared.
Prepare Monthly Employee Salary:
Collect all necessary information from HR and calculate salaries based on additional benefits or deductions.
Prepare salary based on the company policies and Ethiopian tax.
Monthly Tax Reports:
Review monthly VAT and withholding tax report
Prepare monthly cost sharing
Prepare monthly employee income tax and pension report:
Enter relevant financial data into the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority(ERCA) online system.
Inventory Management :
Conduct physical stock counts in the warehouse.
Reconcile for differences between Peachtree balance, Stock Card, and Physical Count:
Update fixed asset register
Responsible for other related tasks assigned by the Manager.
Job Requirements
Competencies& Skills
Experienced in accounting software such as Peachtree/Sage 50
Knowledge of Accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS)
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, willing to learn.
Integrity
Language: Amharic & English
Qualification Required
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
Having prior experience in manufacturing companies is advantageous.
