Director Information Technology

• Developing & implementing IT strategies aligned with the Authoritys overall objectives and goals.
• Managing the IT department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective decision-making
• Overseeing the recruitment, training & development of IT staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team
• Supervising the planning execution & timely delivery of IT projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices
• Identify Tech needs and select and manage external vendors.
• Provide induction on IT Policies
• Protect the safety and confidentiality of all information, storage, or backup.
• Setup a centralized information and database system; technical and desk support
• Evaluate and select vendors for system solutions, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms.
• Implement governance frameworks to ensure proper usage, access control, and audibility of enterprise systems.
• Participate in audits and compliance assessments as required.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Test new releases and patches before deployment.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization; Implement tuning and performance improvement strategies to enhance system efficiency.

• Masters degree or Above in Information Technology, Software Engineering, information science or Hardware Engineering or a field related to the Job function from an Accredited or recognized learning institution.
• A minimum of 9 years of pertinent work experience, with at least three years in a managerial role or an equivalent capacity.
