Roles and responsibilities

Coordinate and collect epidemiological and lab data process.

Organize/ Facilitate trainings, workshops and meetings involving stakeholders at regional and national level

Involve in outbreak investigation and response efforts through collection of samples, undertaking laboratory investigation and epidemiological data.

Support reporting and communication between public health and veterinary agencies at regional level.

Communicate results of disease investigation to respective departments and bureaus and higher levels as necessary.

Support the regional veterinary clinics and public health/veterinary laboratory performing diagnostic testing and surveillance.

Maintain a database of disease reports for surveillance and response purposes.

Disseminate educational materials to professionals and community level facilities to increase awareness on zoonotic diseases.

Ensure documentation of community sensitization activities including location, time spent, and number of people sensitized.

Degree or MSc in public health, laboratory, biology and data management officer.

4 years experience for M.Sc. and above demonstrated experience
