 What We Do

 Ethiopian Capital Market Authority is established by Capital Market Proclamation No 1248/2021 as an autonomous Federal Regulatory Authority. One of the major objectives of ECMA is to ensure the existence of a capital market environment in which securities can be issued and traded in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner. ECMA, as a regulatory authority, grants licenses to any person to operate as a security exchange, derivative exchange, security depository and clearing company, capital market service provider, over-the-counter trading facility or any other activity deemed by ECMA as a regulated activity under its jurisdiction. ECMA regulates and oversees trading in primary and secondary markets of securities, the use of electronic trading platforms that deal with securities and gives recognition and oversees the activities of self-regulatory organizations. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation of communication strategies in support of ECMA Goals and objectives
• Assist in drafting press releases, drafting responses to media inquiries, and coordinating logistics and arrangements during press conferences.
• Develop and manage content for various communication channels, including ECMA website, social media platforms and newsletters.
• Support in the implementation of internal communication strategy and communicate with employees about organisation development and change.
• Assist during investor relation program, providing information about the ECMA's activities and responding to investors inquires.
• Communicate with regulators, including providing information about the ECMA's activities and responding to regulator inquiries.
• Coordinate corporate events including investor conferences, meetings, and other corporate events.
• Support the senior officer in tracking budget expenditure, developing the communication budget and in preparing budget utilization reporting. 

Qualification Requirements 

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Business Administration or a field related to the Job function from an Accredited or recognized learning institution.

• A minimum of 2 (two) years of relevant working experience
