Job Description

BeMedia is a production company established in Ethiopia; and it is an exclusive media content provider to Kana Television.

Junior IT support / Helpdesk Job Description

  • Provides technical support for all staff & guests.
  • Sets up technical equipment for locations upon request.
  • Conducts basic hardware maintenance.
  • Insures the proper functioning of the recording studios and production equipment.
  • Repairing and replacing studio and other equipment as required.
  • Trouble-shoots problems as they arise in the following areas:
  • Wired & wireless networks.
  • Peripherals (Printers, scanners, cameras, and other.)
  • Computers (Desktops and laptops)
  • Testing electrical and network settings and systems.
  • Installing application and Operating system software on computers and laptops.
  • Assisting management and administrative staffs of company computer systems:
  • In the day-to-day running of company administrative and Media Production Information Systems, including ERP and HR systems.
  • Installing and configuring Microsoft office 365 email service.
  • Installing necessary and work-related software.
  • Check antivirus is installed and working properly.
  • Assist new users on how they use their account ID and server access privilege.
  • Testing new Technologies.
  • Performs night shift duties as instructed.
  • Performs other technical duties as instructed by his/her immediate supervisor.

Reports to: Office Manager & IT

Required no: 1

Team: IT

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience in the same or related field
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Basic understanding of user account management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Willingness to Performs night shift duties as instructed.
