Job Description

Project Background

New Partnerships Initiative EXPAND: New Partners for Better Health (NPI EXPAND) activity is a USAID-funded global project that aims to improve availability, accessibility and use of high quality, high impact family planning (FP) and maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) services through implementation of community score card in 24 woredas in Ethiopia. In Ethiopia, USAID is investing in NPI EXPAND to explore approaches to strengthening social accountability within the health system by building on existing models (e.g., community score cards and Health Development Armies) and experimenting with new ones. One of NPI EXPANDs objectives is to strengthen local implementing partners organizational and technical capacities through a combination of grant-making and systematic capacity strengthening. The projects six partners are implementing interventions in Amhara; Sidama; Southwest, South and Central Ethiopia regions.

NPI EXPAND Ethiopia will hold an end of project event on May 30, 2024, and will hire a local media consulting firm (creative agencies) to produce video showcasing activities and project achievements:

Video production showcasing activities and project achievements.

Photographs showcasing activities and project achievements.

End of project event video and photographs.

Scope of Work

Photographs and high-quality promotional video showcasing the process of community score card implementation starting from client council establishment to Joint Action Plan development and improvement of FP/RMNCH service quality. This includes key processes, main achievements, sustainability, testimonies lessons learned and best practices etc.

Specific tasks for this opportunity include:

  • Participate in a meeting convened by NPI EXPAND to discuss and ensure common understanding of the assignment objectives, scope, and methodology.
  • Review and revise the preliminary ideas developed by the NPI EXPAND team to ensure mutual understanding of the assignment objectives, scope, and methodology.
  • Prepare and submit a work plan covering all assignments, to be approved by the NPI EXPAND team.
  • Review background documents including previously developed video and hold consultative meetings with the team to ensure that NPI EXPANDs work is represented to the teams satisfaction.
  • Submit detailed outlines for all communication material to be developed for concurrence by the NPI EXPAND team.
  • As per the agreed outlines, collect data and capture photographs and videos from the field and Addis Ababa offices.
  • Produce draft material and share with NPI EXPAND team for review and approval.
  • Ensure final, high-quality production of all approved material.
