Overall purpose of the position

A biomedical sales and service engineer is responsible for selling and servicing biomedical equipment and devices to healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. He/she needs to ensure that healthcare providers have access to and are able to effectively use the installed medical technology to improve patient care and outcomes.

Biomedical Engineer Job Description

A biomedical sales and service engineer is responsible for selling and servicing medical equipment and devices to healthcare facilities. The position holder requires to work with healthcare professionals to understand their needs, demonstrate product features, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, sales skills, promote companys goods and services and ensure customer service to support the healthcare industry in adopting and utilizing cutting-edge biomedical equipment.

Starting Date:Immediately after employment agreement concluded

Reporting :Pharma and Scientific Supply Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain companys products or services to customers
  • Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers
  • Exert maximum effort to promote market and secure orders for the products in the territory.
  • Apparently required to inform, advice, and assist in every aspect with its dealing and business transaction in the territory.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Provide support in installing facilities and required service to the products he/she is responsible for
  • Assist and follow up of periodic maintenance and on call services to clients
  • Advice on stocking of basic spare parts for installed machines.
  • Follow up on local and international tenders and advise technical compliance during offer preparation.
  • Compiling up-to-date competitors information
  • Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues with possible solutions to top management.
  • Setting and achieving sales and service goals and quotas
  • Traveling to site work and locations to provide technical training about goods and services, troubleshooting, test, and put in to operation
  • Periodically evaluating the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of goods and services rendered to the customers

Reports and Information:

  • Shall keep the company informed as to business trends, computation, activities and changes in the markets of the territory under his jurisdiction and shall provide such information as he considers would be useful to the company.
  • Provide detailed reports not more than one week after information it may require from time to time.
  • Shall not be concerned or interested, either directly or indirectly in the representations of any products and services or any kind of business except Tuttnauer sales upon this agreement.

Non-disclosure:

During the term of this agreement, he/she Shall not and or at any time thereafter, use the confidential information of the company for any other purpose other than performing its obligation herein, nor shall he directly or indirectly disclose or make available any confidential information of the company to any third party, except for its employees who need to know such confidential information in connection with this agreement

Job Requirements

Job Requirement

  • Bachelors degree or above in biomedical engineering or a related field of study
  • Minimum 5+ years of proven sales experience the field of medical equipment.
  • Professional Licensed in Biomedical Engineer is a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Industry-specific knowledge would be an asset
  • Computer literacy such as Micro soft offices
  • Exceptional problem solving, verbal and written communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional team-working and communication skills.
  • Willing to travel to regions when requested.
  • Willing to work under pressure.
  • Capacity to combine technical knowledge with creativity

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with various professionals
  • Good attention to detail and spatial awareness
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
