TOR: Consultancy Service to Conduct Training for Middle-Level Women Leaders Alliance

About TIMRAN

TIMRAN is a civil society organization established in March 2020 with the objective of enhancing womens participation in politics and public decision-making processes. TIMRANs vision is to see Ethiopia as a country where women take their legitimate space in the public decision-making arena and the nations political affairs. Our mission is to work towards the enhancement of Ethiopian womens active engagement in political and public leadership to ensure their constitutional right to equal participation in the nations political, social, and economic undertakings.

Project Background

The Middle-Level Women Leaders Alliance for Peace-Building is an alliance of women leaders formed and led by TIMRAN that aims to increase their involvement in the peace process. The alliance includes women leaders from diverse backgrounds and sectors who share a common goal of promoting a women-inclusive peace building process in Ethiopia.

TIMRAN seeks to engage a consulting service to design and conduct tailored training sessions for the Middle-Level Women Leaders Alliance project. The training service provider will collaborate closely with TIMRAN to develop a comprehensive training program focusing on advocacy, peace building, and strategic competencies of the targeted middle-level leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Training Needs Assessment: conduct a thorough assessment to identify the specific training needs, challenges, and aspirations of middle-level women leaders within the alliance.
• Curriculum Development: design a customized training curriculum encompassing relevant modules on advocacy, peace-building strategies, conflict resolution, negotiation techniques, and effective communication.
• Training Delivery: facilitate interactive and engaging trainings tailored the identified needs and preferences of the participants.
• Final Report: Submit a comprehensive report documenting the training process, outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations for future interventions.

Required qualifications of the Consultant;

• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training programs focused on leadership development, peace-building, advocacy and woman empowerment.
• Familiarity with the socio-political context of Ethiopia, particularly regarding womens participation in peace building process
• Strong facilitation and communication skills to engage diverse groups of middle-level women leaders effectively
• Proven track record in evaluating training effectiveness and providing post-training support for sustained impact
• Capacity to work with TIMRAN and other partners to ensure the success of the training initiative
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English and Amharic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-reliant in computer skills
• Availability to conduct training sessions in Addis Ababa and willingness to travel if required
