Position: Human Resource (HR) Generalist
Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is a certified professional who handles the daily administrative and HR duties. The HR generalist assists HR manager with recruitment, record maintenance and provide clerical support to all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in HR department planning, prepare individual work plan,
- Assist departments with the recruitment process by posting vacancies, collect applications, identifying candidates
- Schedule interviews.
- Participate/ Conduct initial interviews,
- Undertake necessary background checks (performing reference checks);
- Perform orientations of new employees
- Keep records of new staff.
- Follow up of probation period, prepare probation period completion letters to employees
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
- Ensure the tracking system of the recruitment process and compile monthly report on recruitment are maintained.
- Monitor and coordinate staff contract management
- Hear and address employee grievances
- Advise the HRM on the appropriate actions, discipline and recommend conflict resolution ways
- Ensure IATS is in compliance with all labor laws, and minimization of legal exposure.
- On need basis liaise with legal counsel on HR issues that requires legal interpretations
- Manage/ administer employee benefits, including over time, bonuses, leaves, and absences,
- Facilitate all internal HR related inquiries or requests.
- Facilitate pension of employees
- Assist/ facilitate/ follow up health and safety procedures in the company,
- Arrange training of employees on appropriate health and safety procedures,
- Participate in the development of health and safety policy of the company,
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Maintain hard, digital and electronic records of employees.
- Ensure, File and update of all head office staff personnel and statutory documents and ensure that all staff information are properly kept, updated and confidentially maintained
- Ensure that all exiting staff clearance forms are submitted before final dues are processed;
- Maintain calendars of HR management team.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Communicate with public services,
- Support and oversee fleet management
- Support and oversee general service provision
- Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; coordinating correspondence; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
- Maintain office efficiency and effectiveness by ensuring office systems and equipment are operational, necessary supplies are on hand and by facilitating quick resolution of problems.
- Ensure cleanliness and serviceability of facilities, such as office rooms, rest rooms, canteen, generator and office equipment.
Required Qualification and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources; Accounting and Finance; Business or related (essential).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field in HR

- Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Exposure to payroll practices.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
