Design, Construction and Site Quality Controller

• Collaboration with German Development Programme/Operation and coordination with Government counterparts
• Support to various procurement processes for final design, specification, BoQ, cost estimation; construction of single or multiple infrastructure (park administration HQ and sub HQs; ranger outposts; park entrance gates, park camp sites, and others); and for construction supervision. Lead the process to develop and produce innovative cost-effective construction designs using local construction materials, based on best practices in construction and building design and ensure compliance with green building standards.
• Monitoring of construction projects (overall follow-up to construction activities by regular site visits and technical meetings; Coordinate certification of payments/ variations after verification; monitor overall construction expenditures and progress certificates; Organize and coordinate substantial and final reception of works after verifying the correction of all defects during the DLP)
• Check the detail specification and BoQ of priority projects; Observe and inspects ongoing construction work to ensure compliance with the approved designs and drawings; supervise and perform testing of materials and construction activities to ensure quality as per the IMP; Work with contractors on corrective actions; Maintain quality control records and documentation; Oversees construction record; calculate & recommends payments to contractors;
