Job partnerships and SME promotion II
The Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition." seeks to generate more high-quality jobs and fosters new business opportunities, especially for the youth in the country. In Ethopia, the initiative enhances conditions for European and African investors, fosters small and medium enterprises, and improves business ecosystems in selected economic clusters. This encourages sustainable investments, ultimately contributing to increased local employment.

Place of Work: Addis Ababa with duty travel in country
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities
Produce stories including interviews, articles, photo-essays, in English and. Amharic in collaboration with the international communication advisor.
Develop content and visuals on the Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" programme in Ethiopia social media accounts.
Create relevant stories and publications, highlighting the programme and prominently featuring success stories, the special initiative and GIZ webpages and social media accounts.
Job Requirements
Required qualifications, competences, and experience
Qualifications
Masters degree in media and communications, public relations, international relations, journalism, or other relevant subject is required.
In lieu, a Bachelors degree in combination with additional years of qualifying experience is accepted.
Professional Experience:
2 years of proven relevant experience in communications, advocacy and/or media relations
1 year of proven experience in photography
Experience in producing multimedia content including photographs, social media content and news articles
Experience in the field of womens empowerment and promoting gender equality in a multilateral or international organization
Experience with communications in refugee/humanitarian context
Experience with writing and editing content in English.
Experience in developing story boards for short videos
Other Knowledge, additional competencies
Knowledge of using social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter
Knowledge of relevant applications MS Word, MS Excel, and related applications as well as social media platforms
