Senior procurement officer

Job Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Supply chain Director, the Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for the implementation and management of purchasing of goods, Works, and services required to OVIDs project and operations needs under the policies and procedures.

Specific responsibilities and duties

• Examines and analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information
• Investigate and develop sources of supplies,
• Prepares weekly, monthly, and yearly procurement plans, budgets, and reports for goods, services, and works
• Assists user departments in the preparation of specifications, bill of quantities, and TORs
• Prepares procurement documents, such as requests for quotations, bidding documents, requests for proposals, evaluation reports, and contract agreements

• Follows up the execution of all foreign procurements and customs clearing processes and insures that they are executed in compliance with OVID Trading regulations.
• Assists in the management of contracts and Collects goods purchased as per the specification and lead time.
• Updates product specifications for regularly bought items.
• Works closely with stores and inventory controller in setting reorder levels.
• Perform any other related duties as instructed by the immediate supervisor.

Degree in procurement, purchasing & supplies management, Accounting, Economics, Management or other relevant field of studies

Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience for degree and

A working knowledge of English (both verbal and written)

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
