Driver

Transportation:

• Safely operate a truck to transport goods, materials, or equipment from one location to another.

Loading and Unloading:

• Load and unload Company Products onto the truck carefully. Ensure that the Products are securely strapped and positioned to prevent shifting during transit.

Route Planning:

• Plan and determine the most efficient routes for transportation, considering factors such as traffic conditions, weather, road closures, and delivery schedules.

Compliance with Regulations:

• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards governing commercial driving, including hours of service regulations, weight limits, and traffic rules. Ensure that the truck is properly maintained and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, and lights. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel for repairs.

Documentation:

• Complete and maintain accurate records and documentation related to transportation activities, such as driver logs, mileage records, fuel receipts, and delivery invoices. Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner.

Communication:

• Maintain communication with Stores, Shops, Customers and Sales workers to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules, provide status updates on transportation, and address any issues or delays that may arise during transit.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and customers by delivering goods on time, handling inquiries and complaints professionally, and ensuring that deliveries are made according to specifications.

Safety Procedures:

• Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and prevent accidents while operating the truck and handling Products.

Emergency Response:

• Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents that may occur during transportation, such as accidents, breakdowns, or hazardous material spills. Take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of oneself and others involved.

Compliance with Company Policies:

• Follow company policies and guidelines regarding transportation procedures, ethical conduct, and professional behavior. Represent the company in a positive manner while interacting with clients, vendors, and the public.
