Job purpose:

To handle day-to-day accounting and provide financial information to management by analyzing data and prepare reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information;

Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings and reconcile accounts payable and receivable;

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns;

Ensure timely bank, landlord and insurance payments;

Prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements and publish financial statements in time;

Document financial transactions by entering account information in ERP;

Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options;

Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports;

Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents;

Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;

Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions;

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information;

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups as & when necessary;

Any other responsibility given by the Management time to time.

Qualification & Experience:

Graduation in Accounting. Minimum three-year experience in a reputed organization, preferably in retail.
