Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant in the General Accounts Section plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. Responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, this role ensures accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Prepare daily cash reconciliation and monthly bank reconciliation and

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies

Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Monitor and analyze account balances to identify discrepancies or irregularities

Assist in external audits and regulatory inspections, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or masterโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Proven experience of 4 years in accounting and finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.

Strong understanding of IFRS

Experience in using ERPs (especially Sage 300 (ACCPAC) is a plus)

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor and develop team members.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
