Job Summary:
The Pharmaceutical Service Restoration Technical Advisor will sspearhead the strategic development, oversight, and support for the implementation of pharmacy service initiatives restoration in areas impacted by conflict. This pivotal role involves coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure the delivery of pharmaceutical services and the effective management of different initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of strategic plans for pharmaceutical service restoration activities, ensuring alignment with national health objectives.
- Foster partnerships with government institutions, non-governmental organizations, and community representatives to facilitate restoration of pharmacy service.
- Drive policy advocacy and resource mobilization to bolster pharmacy service restoration and innovate efforts.
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify pharmacy service activities gaps and needs within conflict-affected regions.
- Formulate and implement targeted strategies and plans to address the identified needs, incorporating cutting-edge solutions and established best practices.
- Guarantee compliance with national and international health standards for all pharmacy service activities.
- Design and conduct training programs aimed at enhancing healthcare professionalsā competencies in pharmacy service management activities in conflict affected area.
- Offer continuous technical support and mentorship on-the-ground staff, ensuring adherence to established pharmacy standards.
- Monitor and evaluate pharmaceutical services interventions undertaken.
- Compile and disseminate detailed reports outlining achievements, obstacles, and actionable insights.
- Champion the incorporation of pharmacy service restoration activities into wider health initiatives and emergency response plans.
- Engage with media outlets and public platforms to elevate the discourse surrounding sustainable pharmaceutical services management.
Educational Back Ground
- Masterās degree or higher in Pharmacy or Public Health with 12 years of experience on pharmacy service out of which minimum of five years in hospital set up.
- S/he must have a bachelorās degree in pharmacy prior to his/her masterās degree.
- Proven/written experience in collaborating with regional health bureaus and the Ministry of Health to deliver technical support at the facility level, initiate services, and conduct training programs.
- A proven track record of successful strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration
Skills and Competencies:
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy service operations and the complexities of service restoration.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a history of effective team management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, proficient in both English and the local language.
- Advanced computer literacy, including familiarity with health information systems.
Other Requirements:
- Preparedness to undertake frequent travel to conflict-impacted areas.
- Cultural sensitivity and the capacity to perform efficiently in a variety of settings.
- Both the Civil service and MoH Human Resource Development rules and regulations will be applied to guide the day-to-day services of the postholder.
- As new priories emerge, MoH may periodically revise the TOR for this position.
