Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia (HFHE) is a branch of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). HEHE is currently operating under Africa Habitat for Humanity International. Since it started operation in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia has supported thousands of families and individuals. Initially focused on mortgage houses for families affected by poverty and other vulnerabilities, the organization has expanded its efforts to incorporate vulnerable group housing, urban slum upgrading, urban resilience building, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and Disaster Risk Reduction Response (DR3)-WASH Resilience Building.
JOB SUMMARY
In line with HFHI’s ‘Pathways to Permanence’ strategy, the DRRB Specialist will have responsibility for managing /backstopping one or more grant-funded DRRM (emergency response, early recovery, resilience-building, or Disaster Risk Reduction) projects from a range of donors. She/he will be responsible for overall program quality, ensuring projects under his/her responsibility comply with donor requirements, as well as project plan management standards and procedures. This includes collaborating on project and grant management teams to ensure programmatic, operational, and financial deliverables of projects are met. S/he will participate in related research and documentation efforts and represent HFHE at sector meetings and events.
