Vétérinaires Sans Frontières – Suisse (VSF-Suisse) is a humanitarian, charitable, politically, and religiously neutral organisation with 35 plus years of working experience in Africa, providing humanitarian aid and development cooperation to people in need. VSF-Suisse has vast experience in the fields of animal and human health, working with communities suffering the negative impacts of political unrest, natural disasters, climate change, marginalisation and limited governmental support. Headquartered in Berne, Switzerland, VSF-Suisse runs programmes in West Africa (Mali and Togo) and in East Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Kenya and South Sudan).

Currently, VSF Suisse in collaboration with Vétérinaires sans Frontières Germany is implementing a project entitled “Drought Emergency Response in Somali Region (DERS), Ethiopia”. The project is to be implemented in Dollo Bay, Boqolmayo and Kedaduma woredas of Somali Regional State, Ethiopia. This emergency project aimed to address and contribute towards the overall immediate humanitarian needs in the country aligned with 2023 HRP through protecting and sustaining core-livelihoods assets as well as ensure access to emergency WASH services for communities affected by drought and displacement in Dawa, Afder and Liben zones of Somali Region.

VSF-Suisse is therefore seeking to engage contractors to construct a rehabilitation, Well scanning & Pumping Test of existing borehole Kadauma Woreda, Buriri Kebele Dawa Zone of Somali Regional State. The invitation to Bid document will provide all relevant information in detail.

Therefore VSF-Suisse extends the invitation. The full details regarding the tender can be found in the 'Complete Tender Bid Document', which can be obtained from the VSF-Suisse Ethiopia Country Office in Addis Ababa or from Jigjiga, Moyale and Dolo Ado VSF-S field offices. The Addis Ababa office is situated near Hayahulet, behind Holiday hotel and the field offices are at regional and woreda towns mentioned below. Interested parties can purchase the tender document from there.

A complete bidding documents prepared in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and a nonrefundable fee of ETB 100 starting from May 22,2024, 8:30 AM, to June 3, 2024 Friday to 2:00 PM working days. The method of payment shall be in cash.

The tender needs to be submitted as completed tender /bid documents one original marked ‘’Original `` and one copy marked ‘’copy`` by stating the tender name and reference number in wax sealed envelope and place in the Tender Box found at VSF-Suisse`s Ethiopia country office/field offices. The closing date for submitting the tender is June 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM local time. All bids submitted after that date and time will be rejected.

Eligible water well drilling and rehabilitation general contractors GC or WWC of Grade 5 and above are invited to tender for Well rehabilitation, Well scanning &  Pumping Test of one borehole for the project site indicated above. The contractors must have renewed working license for the year 2016E.C.
