Summary Job Description:
· Responsible for overseeing TCCE IT staff and daily IT operations.
· Oversee and coordinate IT-related activities and provide support for smooth day-to-day operations.
· In consultation with the HQ Information Technology department, develops, implements, and maintains a well-functioning IT system across The Carter Center Ethiopia Offices.
· Ensures that the organization receives compatible, secured, and consistent IT support services, which contributes to the efficiency and productivity of TCCE activities and the achievement of its strategic objectives.
· Responsible for developing TCCE IT strategic and operational plan as per the overall TCC IT policy and strategic plan and oversee its implementation.
· Responsible to ensure effective and secured operations of all computer network systems.
· Oversee the compliance to IT policies and procedures and ensures that the IT policies of the organization are shared and understood by all staff and adhered.
· Assess the workflows of TCCE and support on the automation of the work processes and systems based on the operational and strategic need of the organization.
· Collaborates with various department managers, project managers and regional offices to ensure that essential IT supports provided to staff and offices.
· When approved, participated, and manages the acquisition, installation, configuration, coordination, monitoring, and maintenance of the software.
· Delivers O365 strategies for documentation and storage of data and build staff capacity on Microsoft O-365 packages and related digital skills.
· Attends monthly virtual IT meetings organized by HQ IT team and shares new developments to the country office as appropriate
· Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification: BSc degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or related fields from a recognized university.
Experience: Relevant experience of a minimum of eight years in working and managing IT support services.
Additional Requirements:
· Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services, computer network installation, and administration.
· Experience in the area of data management and automation.
· Proven work experience in supporting work process automation.
· Professional track record of practical technical management experience.
Required essential skills:
· Proven managerial skills and experience, proven IT expertise and technical proficiency.
· Knowledge of current applications and trends in Information Technology.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Strong customer service attitude and skills.
· Highly organized, multi-tasked, and good time management skills.
