Job Summary
Responsible for handling the food aid resource at the central warehouse level and properly managing, receipt and dispatch commodities from CRS PDP to different FDPs. Ensure the type, quantity/size of commodities received from CRS or need to be dispatched to destinations will be given by CTS Coordinator at head office level. The dispatcher is responsible to forward operations feedback and necessary reports timely to CTS coordinator.
Principal Responsibilities
Key Result #1 – Food quantity and quality inspection
1. Check the food quality and availability at PDP level before any dispatch operation.
2. Report any food quality problem to immediate supervisor in timely manner.
3. Make sure the trucks that comes to load commodity are clean and free from dirt/foreign materials.
4. Check the commodity trucks are with standard size and standard tarpaulin to protect the food commodity.
5. Make sure to work closely with the daily laborers to identify weevil infested commodities, slacked bags and punctured containers.
Key Result #2 – Document verification and reporting
1. Verify the waybill amount and the actually received amount from CRS PDP and issue the receiving note accordingly to the driver.
2. Maintain proper filing and recording of commodities received and issued from CRS PDP.
3. Provide daily and monthly commodity movement report to Warehouse officer.
4. Receive round base food commodities allocation by FDPs from warehouse officer and dispatch accordingly.
5. Timely dispatch food commodities as soon as the purchase order and allocation provided from warehouse officer including revised allocation is received.
Key Result #3 – Tracking and follow up
1. Check the freight order the drivers brought is matching with the right allocation of FDPs from the agents of the transport companies.
2. Check the assigned trucks are coming to PDP on the scheduled time and report any challenge with the truck drivers to immediate supervisors.
3. Check the daily laborers properly loading the dispatched commodities.
4. Ensure the loaded commodity trucks are leaving PDP at the right time and report any delay on the truck drivers to move to destination.

Experience
At least 2 Year experience in a similar position preferably in an International NGO setting.
Education/Certifications
? Diploma/Degree in Supplies Chain Management or a relevant field is preferred.
Distinguishing Competencies
? Proactive personality & and self-initiative.
Language
Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic and /or local language of the operational area and, basic understanding of English required;
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

? Each FHE staff member should adhere to all pertinent policies concerning safety and security. This includes, but not limited to, personal safety, road safety, etc.
? Has a responsibility to become familiar to social, cultural, and other associated features of their duty stations.
? Abstains from inappropriate or offensive behavior that can put FHE in a difficult position, impair operations, and jeopardize the health and welfare of all staff of FHE.
? All FHE staff should promotes safe conducts and exercises caution in all work activities; staff should be accountable for own personal and professional actions and conduct.
