KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU Vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Senior General Service Officer position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide a diverse range of office general services to all departments and staff to ensure a smooth running of office operations of the company, manage office general service costs and expenses, while maintaining company policy and procedures.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general services according to policies, procedures and guidelines of the company.
  • Keep offices and office premises clean and ensure that cleaning materials are utilized economically for the intended purpose.
  • Monitor office utilities such as light, water, telephone, photocopy, internet, office equipment for their proper functioning.
  • Pay utility bills on time.
  • Assist the General Service supervisor to ensure timely inspection of company vehicles, renewal of trade licenses, and insurance coverage of vehicles.
  • Ensure proper use of legal documents for vehicles in terms of annual inspection certificate, third party insurance policy, registration and the like.
  • Keep fuel consumption records according to the established system.
  • Assist the General supervisor to keep and update a database of the service vehicles concerning repair and maintenance expense, tire change, fuel consumption etc.
  • Control fuel, oil & lubricant consummations to ensure proper use of such resources.
  • Perform 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) to create a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisal periodically to evaluate how well employees have completed their duty and to take any needful action accordingly.
  • Prepare reports of submission to the General Service head.

Required Number          : 1(One)

Qualification                   :  Diploma or BA in Office Administration, or related field

Work Experience           : 4 years for Diploma, and 2 years for BA graduate in relevant role

Required Competence   : 

  • Communication and relationship building skill
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Computer and database skill
  • Excellent knowledge of office management and service provision
