Import/Export Documentation Officer - Business Group

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for the efficient and lawful execution of import and export activities.
• Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, including customs laws and export control regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods.
• Verify and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices, packing lists, and letters of credit.
• Monitor the status of shipments and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Handle any discrepancies or issues related to import/export documentation and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions.
• Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and ensure the company’s practices comply with new requirements.
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams on import/export documentation and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in import/export documentation or a related role.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with trade documentation software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle complex situations.
