Ephtah Specialty Coffee (Head of Sustainability)

Reports directly to the Deputy Manager 

Responsibilities will include:

• Building sustainability strategy of the company in collaboration with the General Manager and Deputy Manager. 
• Oversees the overall execution, mission, and efficiency of the sustainability program and implements improvements as necessary.
• Prepares annual sustainability report for general manager providing clear details on cost and effectiveness of the Ephtah sustainability programs.
• Gathering and maintaining a database of information and photos for clients.
• Respond to clients’ requests regarding sustainability matters such as traceability and transparency information.
• Build the relationship and partnership between important stakeholders and Ephtah.
• Acting as the main spokesperson for Ephtah at events for sustainability related topics.
• Help the other team around the office by bringing new idea and creating strategies which may facilitate the work easily.

• Patience: Can tolerate unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and ambiguous situations.
• Willingness to travel outside of Addis Ababa to visit the coffee regions.
• Initiative– must be willing and able to work independently, flexibly, and responsively.
• Must be committed to the success to Ephtah coffee and willing to work within the existing framework.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to coordinate and

influence a wide range of cross sector partners and stakeholders.
