Professional Alliance for Development (PADet) is an Ethiopian civil society organization which runs various developmental programs at community level in Ethiopia focusing on Reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, Child development, Women development and Livelihood promotion programs empowering vulnerable women, children, and youth in North Wollo Zone, South Wollo Zone, Awl Zone, South Gojam ,South Gondar zone ,Wagmera zone - Amhara Region, Afar Region, North Shoa Zone, Jima/Kersa - Oromia Region and Addis Ababa

PADet has been working since 1998 in partnership with various International Donors, Regional Governments, National CSOs and the communities.

Currently, PADet would like to hire a potential candidate for the position of MERL officer based in its head office located at Furi sub city, Sheger city. 

Job Summary:

The Monitoring, Evaluation Reporting & Learning (MERL) Officer directly reporting to the ED plan, coordinate, control and implement the overall monitoring & evaluation activities. Communicates with PADet ED and other members of the management team in relation to the performance of the monitoring & Evaluation function of the organization; Gathers, consolidates and reports feed backs obtained from monitoring & evaluation interventions, consolidates annual work plan and budget of organizational units, programs and projects. Documents performance accomplishment data and draws lessons for reference and learning. provides technical guidance for a comprehensive system of performance management and leadership in the development of policy, strategic, program and projects’ result based monitoring and evaluations; develops and promotes the implementation and use of quality program monitoring framework (tools and processes) and reporting, formats and proposal review systems for programs and projects; Produces the final result based monitoring and evaluation reports of projects in collaboration with all organizational units

Duty Station: Furi

Position grade: XI        

Salary: as per the organization Scale

Terms of Employment: subject to performance of employee

Report to: ED

Qualification and skills Requirement:

• BSC/BA degrees in Economics, Management OR related field of study. 

• Trained in MS Office and Competence in statistical package

• At least six years’ experience in related position (preferable in NGO) 

• Computer proficiency 

• Proven report writing and communication skills.

• Good communications and interpersonal skills and good leadership quality,
