Position Summary:

The Export Sales Officer at Lemi National Cement, a joint venture company, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of export sales operations, driving international market expansion, and achieving revenue targets through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of global markets to capitalize on export opportunities and ensure the company's competitiveness on the international stage.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives to penetrate international markets, expand export sales channels, and achieve revenue growth targets.

·      Conduct market research and analysis to identify export opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and understand customer needs and preferences in target regions.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to align export sales strategies with business objectives and operational capabilities.

·      Build and maintain strong relationships with international customers, distributors, agents, and partners to maximize sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.

·      Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts, and develop tailored sales strategies and value propositions to address their specific needs and requirements.

·      Conduct regular communication, visits, and negotiations with international clients to understand their business challenges, address concerns, and secure long-term partnerships.

·      Lead, coach, and mentor the export sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure performance excellence and achievement of sales targets.

·      Recruit, onboard, and train new export sales personnel, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary for success in international markets.

·      Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning and development.

·      Oversee the preparation and processing of export documentation, including sales contracts, invoices, shipping documents, and customs clearance forms, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and legal requirements.

·      Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth export transactions, resolve logistical issues, and minimize risks related to shipping, customs, and regulatory compliance.

·      Analyze export sales data, performance metrics, and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.

·      Generate reports and dashboards to track export sales performance, monitor sales pipeline progress, and forecast revenue projections, providing insights for decision-making and resource allocation.

·      Communicate export sales results, achievements, and challenges to senior management, offering recommendations for strategic adjustments and investment priorities.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in business administration, international business, marketing, or related field.

·      8 years proven experience in export sales management, international business development, or related roles, preferably in the cement or manufacturing industry.

Abilities and Required Skills

·      Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower a diverse sales team to achieve ambitious export sales targets.

·      Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, partners, and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.

·      Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market data, identify export opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies for global markets.

·      Proficiency in export documentation and compliance requirements, with a solid understanding of international trade regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures.

·      Results-oriented mindset with a track record of exceeding export sales targets, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share in international markets.

·      Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other sales productivity tools.

·      Flexibility and adaptability to navigate complex global market dynamics, geopolitical risks, and cultural differences.

·      Commitment to maintaining integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards in all export sales activities and interactions.

·      Have driving license, and proven driving experience
