Call for Expression of Interest

Children Believe Fund (CBF) is a child-centered, community-based international development organization devoted to addressing the needs of children, their families and communities by implementing programs including education, early childhood and development, health & nutrition, WASH, sustainable livelihood development, child protection, disaster risk reduction, gender equality and humanitarian, emergency and recovery programs in different parts of the Country Ethiopia. Currently CBF wants to invite local NGO to partner with for implementing sponsorship and development program. Hence, CBF is looking to receiving expression of interest from interested and eligible local NGOs who can meet the following eligibility criteria.

Job Description

• CBF is seeking a local NGO to partner with for implementing sponsorship and development programs in Ethiopia. The ideal NGO should meet the following eligibility criteria: -
• Possess a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the Government of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Society Organizations.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in implementing sponsorship, development n\and humanitarian program and at least child focused and community based multi and integrated sector focused programs (education, nutrition, WASH, livelihood, food security, health and child protection, gender, Agriculture)
• Have potential experience the humanitarian response in the country with funding experience from the UN agencies 
• Willing to mutually work and collaborate with CBF in the humanitarian response program 
• Have active presence in at least two national regional states from Amhara, Afar, Oromia and Tigray SNNPR, Somali, Benishaneguel regions.
• Willing to collaborate with CBF while undertaking due diligence review and process.
• Present audited financial statements (external audit reports) of the past recent three years (2019, 2020 and 2021) approved by board of directors.

How to submit the expression of interest:

• The expression of interest should contain the following information as attached on the link 
• Full name of the organization, address (physical address of the office), telephone number, email and website, name and position of contact person.
• Year of establishment
• Vision, mission and values of the organization.
• Current geographic operational areas
• Program/thematic focus
• Years of experience in implementing development programs
• Years of experience in implementing sponsorship program
• Number of staff
• Average total expenditure (in $ and ETB) per year considering the previous 5 years
