Job Summary

Delivers babies and provide antenatal and postnatal advice, and cares and support to women, their babies, their partners and families.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Delivers babies and provide antenatal and postnatal advice, cares  and support to women, their babies, their partners and families,

• Provide statistical data regarding the number and type of clients served.

• Examines and monitors pregnant women

• Assesses care requirements/writes care plans

• Provides information, emotional support and reassurance to women and their partners

• Takes patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures timely

• Cares for and assists women in Laboure

• Monitors and administers medication, injections and intravenous infusions during Laboure

• Monitors the foetus during Laboure

• Advises about and supports parents in the daily care of their newborn babies

• Helps parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death

• Write records accordingly and timely

• Performs other related duties as assigned

  Working Condition

• The working condition will be Regular or shift as per the department Schedule

Minimum Specification requirement

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• BSc in Midwifery 

• 3 years related work experience

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Proficiency in the use of advanced medical equipment and technology used in the Gyn/Obs department.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Good communication and coordination skill 
• Ability to work under pressure
• Have some computer skills.
