The Opportunity
The position holder is responsible to facilitate the implementation of child protection in emergency project in targeted woreda in close collaboration with district & kebele key stake holders. He/she is expected to ensure that the project is implemented with Minimum Standard of Child Protection in Emergency and Plan International Child Protection in Emergency Policy and Guidelines.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Understand and put into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan Internationalās Code of Conduct (CoC).
Ensure that Plan Internationalās global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
Ensure that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan Internationalās global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
Bachelorās Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social work, Law, Political Science & International Relations, community development or other related field of social science studies.
Strong experience (5 yrs) in the child protection sector and technical understanding of CP data management, polices, conventionsā¦etc
Experience in designing and facilitating of training and capacity building on child protection, counselling and/or case management technical areas with a variety of audiences.
Experience in community mobilization and conducting outreach activities, preferably in Guji/West Guji Zone or Borena zone who is experienced in the management of child protection in emergencies projects.
