Import and Export officer

GRACE CONSTRUCTION CHEMICALS looking for Import Export officer 
Who will responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the import and export processes products. This role involves ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, optimizing 
logistics, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure the efficient and profitable movement of goods.
Job Description

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport companies to arrange the efficient transportation of goods.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including import and export laws, customs regulations, and tariff policies.
• Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize logistics and supply chain processes to minimize costs and improve delivery times.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
•  Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders in the supply chain.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and buyers to secure favourable terms and conditions
• Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the import or export process.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time to relevant authorities.
•  Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential markets for grain and cereal exports.
•  Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's market presence and increase sales.
•  Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with international trade, including currency fluctuations, political instability, and transportation disruptions.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges in the supply chain.
•  Work closely with the sales, finance, and production teams to ensure alignment and coordination of import and export activities.

• Provide training and support to team members on import and export procedures and best practices.

Qualification Requirement 
Qualification 

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, 
  or a related field.
  Work Experience : 
• 4 years of experience in import and export operations, preferably within the grain 
  Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics management
  
  Required skill 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
