JR Petroleum PLC is engaged in selling and marketing petroleum and related products. Currently, JR Petroleum has more than 42 active stations across the country, 

Moreover, it is building the largest Aviation Depot in the country within the premises of Bole Addis Ababa Airport, to supply Jet fuel to Ethiopian Airlines which is expected be operational within a couple of months.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and self-motivated “Fleet Manager” who will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating Road Transport activities of bulk fuel transport of JR Petroleum and ensure that products are delivered to customers by using the trucks efficiency and cost effetely and there ensure timely delivery of product by reducing safety risks to the lowest possible level.

Working Place: Addis Ababa

The Job involves

• As a custodian of the Road Transport Policy, responsible for developing and implementing a robust transport operation manual.
• Continuous cost and delivery service improvement.
• Improve SHE performance of the transporter (Desta Kasie Transport) and drivers. 
• Monitor road transport performance using GPS and other KPIs.
• Ensure there is fairness and transparency on the allocation of transporters trucks.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as HR Manager 

• Excellent planning skills. 

• A pro-active, participative and flexible approach to problem solving, taking the initiative by evaluating, making suggestions and generating new ideas to improve performance of the trucks as well as reduce maintenance cost.

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the issues around the bulk fuel logistics in the industry (including the supply/loading issue and customers demand) and streamline the logistics process to meet the demand of the business.

• Team-working skills with the ability to identify tactical motivational techniques to enhance performance of drivers.

• Ensure drivers of fuel trucks are monitored using GPS and other KPIs.

• Ensure all regulatory requirements for the truck to be on road (such as calibration chart, insurance coverage, renewed driving license, etc.) are fulfilled with a very minimal idle time of the truck.

• Ensure there is fairness and transparency on the allocation of transporters trucks.

• Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written. 

Experience

• At least three year experience as a Fleet Manager in the oil industry.
