JR Petroleum PLC is engaged in selling and marketing petroleum and related products. Currently, JR Petroleum has more than 42 active stations across the country, 

Moreover, it is building the largest Aviation Depot in the country within the premises of Bole Addis Ababa Airport, to supply Jet fuel to Ethiopian Airlines which is expected be operational within a couple of months.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and motivated “Human Resource Manager” who will be engaged on developing and managing a pro-active, progressive and innovate HR function. Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s People Strategy. Facilitate the achievement of business objectives and drive forward organizational performance.

Working Place: Addis Ababa

The Job involves

• Work with managers to support the overall department resourcing requirements and facilitate the identification, recruitment and retention of high-caliber people.
• Develop operational plans to support the delivery of JR’s strategic HR objectives.
• Develop and implement a suitable HR policy/procedure communication structure which may include training, electronic mailings, etc.
• Lead the operational implementation of the People Strategy underpinning overall business objectives.
• Lead the development and review of Human Resource policies and procedures for JR in line with business needs, best practice and current and proposed employment legislation.
• Manage the overall recruitment process including the reviewing of Job descriptions, drafting of recruitment advertisements, liaising with recruitment agencies and negotiating with advertising providers, placing job adverts, shortlisting successful candidates and interviewing as a panel member.
• Build a coaching/consulting role with managers to help them deal with people and performance management issues.
• Oversee and develop the staff training and development function at JR seeking out innovative learning solutions and effective learning interventions for the team.
• Ensure robust performance monitoring tool(s) are utilized for the regular monitoring of performance levels.
• Manage the overall administration of all employee record (manual and computer based).
• Manage pension and benefits administration.
• Undertake any other duties as may from time to time be required 

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as HR Manager 
• Excellent organizational and planning skills. 
• Team-working skills with the ability to identify tactical motivational techniques
• A clear understanding of regular monitoring of performance standards and associated report production.
• A pro-active, participative and flexible approach to problem solving, taking the initiative by evaluating, making suggestions and generating new ideas to improve working methods and levels of performance.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the issues around diversity and how to maximize its benefit to the management and delivery of services.
• Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written. 

Experience

• At least five year experience as Human Resource Manager in NGO.
