+ Job Title and Overview 

Assistant Resident Engineer - support our Resident Engineer in the construction of our apartment complex. This role involves ensuring smooth project operations, maintaining quality control, providing timely reports, and offering comprehensive assistance throughout the construction process. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a consultants office is required. 

+ Essential Job Functions 

•     Prepare take-offs and bills of quantity for project materials to ensure proper resource allocation.
•     Prepare checklist and methodologies to ensure all construction activities meet project standards
•     Prepare and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
•     Interpret and review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy. 
•     Ensure quality control and minimize concrete as well iron bar wastage during construction. Assist in assuring the quality of contractors work during site handovers prior to casting, ensuring all           standards and requirements are met.
•    Assist during concrete casting operations, via recording / monitoring concrete mixer truck activities including covering shifts as needed.

•    Conduct and document 7 - day, 14 - day, and 28 - day cube tests to assess concrete strength

  Hours of work 

• [ Full time Position ]
•  Monday - Friday : 7:30am - 5:30pm 

• Saturday : 7:30am - 5:30pm

  Overtime expectations:  

  Extended hours, including nights and weekends, may be required to meet project milestones and oversee critical phases.

   Work environment: 

     A professional office setting located within the construction site, along side our resident engineer and contractor staffs.

  Confidentiality Agreement: To protect our proprietary information and trade secrets, all employees are required to sign a confidentiality agreement. This agreement outlines what information is considered confidential, how it should be handled, and the consequences of breaching the agreement

  + Evaluation and Review

  Your performance will be evaluated periodically to measure your contributions to the construction project and overall team effectiveness. Key performance indicators (KPIs) include: Knowledge of Construction Techniques, Quality Assurance, Accuracy of Site Documentation, Adherence to Project Schedules, Effectiveness in Coordinating with Contractors, and Collaboration with Consultants Team.

+ Education and Experience

•  Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. 
• Required: 1 year experience in a consultants office.
•  Required: Familiarity with construction project management and quality control.
•  Required: In-depth knowledge of construction management methodologies and site management. 
• Required: Experience in preparing detailed site reports, checklists, and technical documentation .
